Head Coach
Didsbury Aqua-Jets Head Swim Coach May 1, 2024 - August 18, 2024 Didsbury, Alberta The Didsbury Aqua-Jets Swim Club is part of Region E of the Alberta Summer Swimming Association (ASSA).
We are looking for an enthusiastic coach to join our team! Our Club has approximately 30 swimmers and operates mainly out of the Didsbury Aquatic Center, Didsbury, Alberta. Provisional training times are as follows (TBC prior to season): May and June Monday - Thursday 5:00pm-7:00pm July and August Monday - Thursday 5:00pm-6:30pm.
The successful applicant would coach four days a week. The Club participates in approximately 8 weekend swim meets throughout the season, most being one day meets; culminating with Regionals and Provincials which each are two day meets. The successful applicant will be required to meet the following minimum criteria:
National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Community Sports Coach for swimming as a minimum or National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Fundamentals Coach – Level 1 Swimming 101 certification in swimming.
Current Membership with the Alberta Summer Swimming Association (ASSA), Swimming/Natation Canada (SNC), Canadian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (CSCTA) and the Alberta Coaches Council (ACC)
*The Aqua-Jets swim club will pay for the above listed memberships*
$20 - $25 / Hour – Plus compensation for swim meets. Salary commensurate with experience.
Current Criminal record, vulnerable sector background check provided prior to May 1, 2024.
• Experience working with children between the ages of 4-19 years old The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
